I know this email will be thrown out, but I must voice my opinion.

Clean air and clean water is what we should be focused on environmentally. Any projects that will cost taxpayers an excessive amount, that will stifle existing resources (or inflate the cost of) are not desired and would be irresponsible to deploy.

Many companies are leaving Washington State due to the unpredictability of tax rates and regulations. I fear Spokane is doing the same. I was born here, grew up here, and chose to raise my family here. I love this city and hate to see it trying it's darndest to become Seattle Jr. I am very close to convincing my wife to move our business 30 minutes east, to avoid this ridiculousness and I am not alone in this.

Yes, we should strive to take care of our environment. However, anything beyond clean air and clean water is only an opportunity for creating artificial price hikes in our existing resources, and -- unfortunately -- an opportunity for fraud. If you don't believe this, look at Seattle, LA, Portland, Austin, Minneapolis, San Francisco, etc. I travel across the country for work, and this is common knowledge for people outside the bubble of alarmists.

Thanks for listening to my opinion; though, we both know it will be ignored. J. Vaughan
