I have two issues that I would like to address, not sure how it dovetails into your Plan. Years ago, No Market St was widened from two to four lanes from Euclid to Frances. Along both the east & west curbs trees were planted & an underground irrigations system installed (all supposedly for "traffic calming"). Well, all that effort & cost lasted a few years. The irrigation system got forgotten to be turned on annually & through shear determined willpower a couple of the trees still exists, not sure they are even the original ones planted. It was a terrific idea & greatly welcomed. I would like to see it restored.

A few years ago, Illinois Ave from Market, west to Perry was resurfaced (finally) & a curb separated jogging/bike path created on the south side. Between the bike path & the railroad tracks is a strip that needs landscaping to enhance the terrific panoramic view of the city & "traffic calming". When I say "terrific panoramic view" that is no exaggeration. The view from Sunset hill on the west to the Idaho mountains on the east is not to be had on any other drive in the city, a neglected valuable city asset.

Over all, any opportunity to take advantage of landscaping ads to a positive environmental impact, and enhancement to property values. If you are still with me, I appreciate your endurance & willingness to listen to me.
