Can Spokane add homes without crowding single-family blocks?

Hi there. My name's Candy. I'm just a concerned citizen, and a citizen concerned with the preservation of our beautiful neighborhoods. I see that the preferred alternative seems to focus around transit areas, which relieves me. But I think since we are going to do that, I'm hoping and I'm begging that we reconsider what's happening to our residential neighborhoods and the infilling, and want to encourage the preservation of residential neighborhoods so that multifamily housing is much more well thought out, not crammed into residential single family housing spaces. We have a beautiful gift in Spokane, in that it escaped urban removal of the past, the '50s and '60s, I think it was. And I think it's very important that no matter what we do in our future planning, that we preserve our neighborhoods. And I see Grand Avenue on the south plan. I think, if I understand it correctly, it's hard to see on my phone, but it looks like there's big plans for Grand Avenue, and that concerns me also. That's a very historic area, and I just-Anyway, I just want to express my concern and hope that, and even as we are doing development, and we'll get more involved in this, I guess, in the building process, that we are cautious and sympathetic to what we already have.
