Who shapes the neighborhoods?

I was very impressed with the procedure used for the Refi project and the whole concept of putting the community first and finding out what the community wanted. I would like to suggest that as much of that as possible be brought into this process. And for example, that could involve putting, instead of convert, amend, engage, put engage, convert, amend, because people who live in the community are the ones who have the most information to give you and have the most at stake. And in addition, I very strongly recommend that there be engagement with neighborhood councils as these things are being worked out. That there, unfortunately, is not the same kind of time available for the Refi project. I was very impressed by the neighborhood institutions that were involved and the monthly regular meetings for real engagement. I don't see the time for that kind of thing being here, but I think engaging at a minimum with neighborhood councils is really important. Yeah. So, the basis of a lot of the changes, like I said, are based on the preferred alternative, which is general in nature, I will acknowledge, but is fully based in the community engagement that we've had up until this point. And then, completely agree with engaging with neighborhood councils. I know that was directly called out in the slides for when we're talking to other agencies as well, just recognizing that is the time to do that direct communication. And I think with the understanding that we'll convert, amend, engage, and then there will be revisions based on that engage. Absolutely. Right? Yeah. Well, I think perhaps more useful conversions could take place if engagement occurred first, or at least contemporaneously.
