Chesney proposes an open-forum time limit

Scott, did you have something to add? Well, um, no, I think what, uh, Commissioner Brooks said from, you know, observations was accurate. Uh, the chair, uh, who has traditionally been really pretty good at at handling the public, uh, felt uncomfortable, uh, at this meeting and that's that is what ended up letting people speak multiple times. Uh, we didn't, you know, he makes the announcement up front. You can have one 3 minute or one twominut period. Uh but uh it was uncomfortable as those commenters became more and more voseiferous I would say. Uh and so it's uh we we anticipate that that's going to be the same for the final the two remaining hearings uh on September 17th and potentially October 15th. uh the last meeting you was 3 hours and that pushed the rest of their agenda which is the comprehensive plan and talking about preferred alternative and urban growth area. They agreed to continue that to this Thursday, the 3, where the data centers will not be on the agenda, but will also then be subject to the uh uh open forum at the front of the agenda. And our suggestion to or was is going to be to the chair or perhaps a facilitator uh to do what you the commission has done from time to time and say we're going to have an open forum, but it's going to be limited to 15 minutes or 30 minutes. uh and it's these people and then then we're done and have to get on to the rest of our agenda. So, we've we've got a couple of structural things we can do. Uh but yes, if the chair uh and presumably the vice chair uh would be uncomfortable presiding in that situation that that's a different kind of dilemma. Okay. Question.
